The Fairest Maiden

The Fairest Maiden

A Poem by Bo Lanier

The sun comes up and the sun goes down. Spring

Has turned into autumn and now all the leaves

Are falling to the ground. White laced woman

When will all your dreams come true? Broken

Hearted she cries "I know you're never coming

Back again so I guess it's time I gave up on

Loving you. They say all good things must

Come to an end still I can't believe we are

Really through!” But as the seasons change

And the snow turns to rain she is still all

Alone. Like a prisoner locked away in a care-

Less world of her own. White laced woman

Please don't cry anymore. One day all of your

Dreams will come true! And he is not the only

Man that can love you! Well the sun comes up

And the sun goes down. The fairest maiden

Bears one heavy crown!
