Miracle Man

Miracle Man

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Walking along the sand and thinking of
just how lonely I am in the cool breeze
of the sea I try to understand the meaning
of life but I just don't understand why it
never seems to go according to plan and
why love is so important to me tho it's
never made me feel worth a damn...
... Well I don't claim to be a MIRACLE MAN
but surely somebody, somewhere can
love me as I am...
These days everything seems to so over-
rated and the spirit of living is gone, everything
is GQ, Sex and money but these things
couldn't be further from my mind don't you
know pretty is as pretty does and sex is
just an empty emotion if not in the name of
love...
Well it's such a sorry state of affair, time
slips away and before you know years
have disappeared, what’s left but a dream
nothing but a dream it seems...
I try to find comfort in my art, music and
poetry but that doesn't take the place of
a companion here now next to me...
Well I know I'm not a MIRACLE MAN
but surely someone somewhere can
love me the way I am no, I’m not a
MIRACLE MAN I'm just a man, just a man
who needs the love of someone who will
love me as I am!
