Mountain City

Mountain City

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Well and this Mountain that overlooks the Sea has
always been my sanctuary...I love the bright lights
of the harbor and the sounds of the waves at night
makes me think now that we are many, many miles apart
well you call and the sound of your voice on the phone
makes me quiver with desire and stirs a fire in my
heart...I say, “well hey,why don't you fly on down here
tonight, you can stay the weekend or longer if you want
to” I’ve got almost everything I could wish for here
tonight but you...I know the snow is deep and the wind
is vile but again I say, “why don't you fly on down
here tonight, I promise to make it worth your while
wouldn't you risk your life just to hold me in your
arms?!"well I'd swim the Ocean deep just to kiss your
lips so sweet...brilliant is the danger of passions
high and my heart I can't deny...I've got almost
everything I need here in my life but you, the only
thing missing is you way up here in the clouds of this
Mountain City overlooking the heart shaped sea!
