EARTH

EARTH

A Poem by Summer R

I love the light

I love the night

I love the way tree's bend in the breeze

The brook that ripples over the pebbles that feed the green banks of beauty and dreams

The colorfull flowers that stretch to the sun and the bee's that spread these

Mountains reaching towards the sky as if clinging to the clouds that drift by

Open sea's full of life, swimming, playing in the depths

I have found more than life

A beauty so vast, i wish it would last

Last forever through time and never decline

For all to see, even from far away galaxies

But at alas, I do fear, that intelligent life will destroy what is most dear

No care or head, only full of selfish greed

Love of physical life,  fear of beyond death

Spurn these creature's to accept a way of life that will only lead to pure grief and misery

Leaving nothing left

Sad but true

I will remember you

Earth unique

Earth so blue

Earth i love, goodbye to you
