Chasing Destiny

Chasing Destiny

A Poem by morningstar

Catching Destiny

Inside a zone, only the twilight in the sky that stays

And orange rain

Ahead was a soul, hated beloved; looked as wet

 as the terrain

He makes a smile

Doesn't take a while

To blow me away

Before he escapes…

He spun into dust, only the pixies know the right place where

 he will be

I run through a copse, wondering why he always slips

away from me

Maybe,

 I am too strong

Or we simply

 won’t get along

He’ll be with me

All the time

When I don’t know

Or when I try…

Not even a glimpse, before he disappears in a bright light

 I follow him

Leaving me hints, the foreign signs of love I

cannot comprehend

Forever

Leading me on

Until it finally

Began to dawn

I’m chasing something

A sacred love

How could I ever

Be enough?

Surely in time, I see him once again swiftly moving

through the vines

And vine after vine, he’s enmeshed in their grasp,

I call it mine.

Beyond the

shadow of doubt

A ray of sunlight

 Is shining down

I go to touch

He only stares

Finally a moment

That is shared

Why

Are

You

So

Scared?
