The Rain

The Rain

A Poem by mozakcervello
"

A poem I wrote about perception and our views on life.

"

I saw you standing alone in the driveway

Staring up at the sky in defeat

The look in your eyes was far away

"Was it all obsolete?"

In a state of anticipation for years

You heard that rain would come soon

And to foreshadow your fears

You isolated yourself waiting for the doom

What if the rain were to begin?

The sun would return again

And what if the feel of droplets on your skin

Made you dance to your heart's violin

Was the waiting worth it?

Standing alone in suffering

Sometimes no one controls the ship

The waves would keep it floating

Well, there's all types of suffering. Some people think being alone is a bad thing, others think being in a crowd is hell. All things in proportion I suppose. We all have to take the good with the bad, no matter what our perceptions label and shape those perspectives to be. I enjoyed the read.
