Insanity

Insanity

A Poem by Dylan Cook

Trying to stay sane in an insane land
Trying to be there to lend a hand
Feel like I'm slipping into darkness
All paths seem to lead to sadness
The whole worlds bent on insanity
Leading to greed and infinite misery
Nothing makes sense anymore to me
I need something more to be happy
Trying to stay sane in an insane land
Trying to be there to lend a hand
Feel like I'm slipping into darkness
All paths seem to lead to sadness
Limping like a wounded animal
Finding no end to my own trouble
I try to move on to heal my soul
But it gets sucked into a black whole
Trying to stay sane in an insane land
Trying to be there to lend a hand
Feel like I'm slipping into darkness
All paths seem to lead to sadness
