21st Century Cupid

21st Century Cupid

A Poem by Ekai Stone

Good things, beautiful things
Moments of magic and bliss
Are forgotten
The second adversity creeps in
Then sometime later after you've ran
The adversity is overcame
You want the magic back
Only to find its where you left it
In a sack
Typical America
21st century
Media trained
Western ways
All forms of relationships now a days
You bank on finding another
Another person to witness magic with
Then another
Then another
Then another
Oops, should have tried to work it out with that really great one back then
You think to yourself.
Too late
Then you take what you can get
Too late to build anything monumental though
Wrinkles, gray's, spite, less might, no more cupids in flight
