I Missed a Season

I Missed a Season

A Poem by apocalypse

I think I missed a season

'Coz a lot seems to have changed

Too many beats have been skipped

My psyche's gone a bit deranged

"You've changed so".. Their new cliche

My vessel sunk and surfaced

All in that lost season

But nnothing of that journey can be retraced

There was this worldly audience though

Everyone but me

I was the probable protagonist

Though numb as can be

For I seem to have missed a season

That's why it all changed

And everyone 'round.. that sadistic audience

Are more than willing to trade

Trade the brief-in to my lost era

For a silenced victim.. that'd just hear on

they say you went wrong there

But you need not react..your senses have been torn

You're no more optimism that breathed

Not the beautiful melody by which the heavens swore

You lost your essence girl

And that perennial smile you wore

You're not who you knew

That's just another poker face

Trust us when we tell you.. you can't be sure of what you feel

But don't you worry.. we're on your case

You're as fake as they get

You lost your bonafid-ity

You can't claim your person anymore

Just another lost face.. Among the blinding lights in this city

I wish I'd have a say in this

All I do is hear on

While my existence they flay

For I missed a season.. And now I must pay..

I really enjoyed this write here even though I don't what this word means probable protagonist. SO much truth in this write. Very well written as well.
You have talent.

Haven't exactly figured out the "What i am" aspect of me. Self-introspection doesn't happen to be one my best talents. I am intrigued by the morose nuances of life, but that doesn't make me any less.. more..
