The Questions

The Questions

A Poem by Debbie
"

The dance of attraction

"

The Questions

Two steps forward, one step back
Desire propels you, ambiguity holds you back
I find that’s the way most of you dance
The long, tender stare, then a sidewards glance
And you’re in fear of . . .???

Dive below my surface if you dare
You’ll find our soul hiding there
She wants to be exposed, in a timid sort of way
Reassurance that we know how to play
Fair

Can you hold the silence? Can you be still?
Exquisite pain builds within us; molding will
Then the explosion; blinding light into night
We swirl into oblivion giving up our right
To be wrong

Grow eyes that see past the surface
Grow ears that hear the heart
Feel deep the soft folds of tenderness
Caress each velvety, hidden part
Of us

Shall we expand the knowing?
Will the touch of awareness keep growing?
Can free will bring us back to each other?
Or will desperation’s grasp force another
Dance?

I like the depth of this writing and the questions you ask of yourself when reading it. So much can be said with so little as long as your open your eyes as well as your soul to the words

its good. It reminds me of the lyrics to some of "she wants revenge" songs
