Secret-est Heart

Secret-est Heart

A Poem by Mockingjay
"

A hazy memory

"
In hazy mirrors and through glass i go,
to meet your eyes so long ago.
So deep a look i know so well,
but of this night i cannot tell.
A forbidden touch and secret kiss,
in blinded fog of sublime bliss.
You haunt my mind,
though you don't know,
a polar opposite that won't let go.
One stolen night i had at the start,
but i pulled you too close,
into my heart.
I cannot hold you,
you are meant to be free,
so you left a little piece inside of me.
Your love was a tear that grew everyday,
and wanted to drown me when you went away.
It drove away those that came close to me,
so i gave it to God and set you free.
Loved but not touched,
and always apart,
I'll hold you forever in my secret-est heart.

Enjoyed the rhyming, with a tender
message that fits it so well. Well done!
