Chapter 1 - Prologue

Where am I?.... What is this place?...."The Darkness of this entity".....Who said that?!....."You need not to know who I am for I am always here with you...."

 

"Who are you?" Aedan asked.

 

"It's time....Wake up, Wake up, Wake up!!!"

 

He wakes up and sees everyone staring at him then he looks in front and finds his professor.

 

"Sleeping in class again eh Aedan? I'm afraid I have to see you after class..." His professor said

 

"I'm sorry sir, I promise it won't happen again." said Aedan.

 

RRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!! the school bell goes as it signals lunch time for the students. The person who was sleeping in class was none other than Aedan Iriadne. He was a 18 year old boy who lives a lonesome life. His classmates think of him as a loner and a strange guy. He had a somewhat spiky hair. He is of average height and he has somewhat a cold attitude.

 

"Knew I'd find you here..." said his buddy Riku.

 

Aedan gave no answer. His only friend in school Riku Madsen, a happy go lucky guy. He tries to encourage Aedan to lighten up and meet people. He is also 18 years old and a few inches shorter than Aedan.

 

"You're weird Aedan hahahaha!! You always stay on the school rooftop, You might fall HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!" joked Riku.

 

"Whatever" said Aedan. "Let's go back to class I don't want to be late..."

 

As they were going to class they passed by Aedan's childhood friend Kaoru. His former friend when he was a child, Kaoru Rosette. She and Aedan go way back when they were kids. Unlike Aedan and Riku, Kaoru was 17 years old. She was a junior in their school. She was also shorter than Aedan and Riku but she had a good body figure.

 

"Hey there's Kaoru" said Riku.

 

Aedan did not say anything.

 

"Well she's you're friend right? So go talk to her" said Riku. Aedin gave no answer.

 

As they got to class, their professor gave them their assignment.

 

"You're homework is on page 207 of your algebra book, yes the whole page so that's it for today so you're dismissed and Aedin you need to stay here after class." said his professor.

 

"Well see you later" said Riku.

 

After all the students left Aedan and his professor were having a serious talk.

 

"What's wrong Aedan? You're usually not like this." said his proffesor

 

"People change Sir." Aedan said in a cold tone.

 

"But you're changing for the worse, getting low grades, and the other students are complaining about your attitude."  replied his teacher.

 

"I think they should mind their own business" Aedan replied in an angry tone.

 

"What I'm saying Aedan is that you should Improve your class status and change your attitude." said his professor.

 

"Look at you...You're trying to help somebody you don't fully know... Why are you doing this anyway?" Aedan asked

 

"I'm trying to help you.." answered his professsor.

 

"Well here's a way you can help, Stay out of my way and leave me alone." said Aedan in a cold manner.

 

"But.." "Have a nice day Sir." with that said Aedan left the classroom.

 

"Hey there he is.." said one of Kaoru's friends who saw Aedan go out of the school building.

 

Kaoru looked at her arm and then said, "So what?" 

 

As soon as Aedan got home he changed and did his homework (because he doesn't want to stay after class and talk to his prof again) and then someone knocked on his door. "RENT!!!!" it was the owner of the apartment he was staying at."Here's your money." and Aedan gave him the rent money he earned. "I better go get some sleep now" he said to himself then he fell asleep.

 

"You're so alone" 

 

"Who said that?!" Aedan said

 

"Don't you ever feel lonely?" said the mysterious voice

 

"It's you again, from the same dream as the last time..." Aedan replied.

 

"Yes I am.."

 

"Who are you" He asked

 

"It’s not important what my name is.."

 

"Can you atleast show yourself?"

 

She shows herself to Aedan. "A girl?"

 

"So you are the one..."

 

"I'm the what?"

 

"The Chosen One.....till we meet again"

 

"Wait!! Who are you?!"

 

With that said Aedan woke up puzzled and thought to himself. "That dream again....Who is she and what did she mean by The Chosen One?" He got up then prepared himself and went to school.

 

"It's gonna be abother boring day again" murmured Aedan "Nothing interesting happens in this place."

 

"HEY AEDAN!!!!!!!! Wait for me!!!!!" said Riku in a hurry.

 

"You always leave me behind!!"

 

"I don't want to be late..." said Aedan.

 

Eventually when they got to class.

 

"Wow it looks like everyone did the assignment I gave yesterday so for that I will give this period as a free period. You can go out early today for lunch."

 

"YAY!!!!" yelled the students.

 

"Hey Riku where is he?" asked Kaoru.

 

"He probably is on the rooftop of the school." Riku said.

 

"Thanks." and she rushed to the schools rooftop. She found Aedan there lying down on the roof.

 

Aedan heard that the door leading to the rooftop had been opened. He took a look to it  and saw Kaoru there and then he remembered what happened to her arm. 6 years ago.

 

"The incident 6 years ago. The Plague that hit our village." he thought. He remembered the flames that destroyed the village. He was so scared at that time. Everytime he looks at Kaoru he remembers the sin that he had done to her, to the village.

 

 

6 years ago...

 

"Help me!!!" 

 

 Aedan was shocked. He saw the fire was huge. It came out from the palm of his left hand. He knew that he started the fire.

 

Eventually someone saved her but  Kaoru she lost consciousness and she had a burn on her right arm.

 

"What did you do to my daughter?!"

 

"But sir I..."

 

"Lies!!!!" "For all I know you started the fire!!!!"said Kaoru's father.

 

"But I can explain...."

 

Three days later he went to Kaoru's house and apologized to her while she was resting.

 

"I'm sorry Kaoru for everything. I promise to be stronger...." with that being said Aedan ran away from the village of Miran.

 

After he remembered the incident he left the rooftop without Kaoru seeing him.

 

Kaoru thought to herself, "Why am I looking for him anyway? After all he was the one who hurt me, so he doesn't deserve my friendship..." Then she got back into her class room and the rest of the day continued as an ordinary day.
