Chapter 2 - The First Day

"This is today's homework class you need to collect plant samples and blah blah blah...." uttered their biology teacher.

It was dismissal time and Aedan was just going out of the school building when suddenly.

"HEY AEDAN!!!" shouted Riku with enthusiasm. "Come on here will ya?"

Aedan made his way to Riku and asked "What's this about?"

"I've heard from sources that you know how to fight..." Riku said with an evil smile

"So what do you want me to do?" Aedan asked.

"Nuthin much... Just beat up those losers who bully you all the time..." Riku joked.

"Not gonna happen besides they don't deserve it." Aedan replied

"Aww you're no fun at all." Riku said.

"If your definition of fun is beating up somebody I suggest that you take martial arts." Aedan said in an uncaring tone.

"Why do you think I have potential?"

"No because you're weak and you need the exercise." Aedan said.

"I'm going home see ya" said Riku.

Riku went his way while Aedan went to the rooftop of the school and relaxed. "I really need time for myself and this is the perfect time for it." Aedan thought "So much to think about especially about that girl. Who is she and what did she mean by The Chosen One?"

"You need not to think about it."

"That voice.." Aedan wondered.

"Where are you?" Aedan continued

"I'm right here" she replied

"Am I dreaming?" he asked.

"No you're not, you are really seeing me Chosen One" she said

"What does that mean anyway?" he asked again

"You will find out soon enough...but for now it stays as that." she replied

"Can you atleast tell me who you are?" Aedan asked her.

"I am Maiev" the girl replied.

"Why do you appear before me?" Aedan asked her

"You will find out soon enough" and Maiev fades away.

"She's only a spirit?" Aedan asked himself.

"So many strange things have been happening lately" and he returns to resting in the rooftop. .

"I better get going now, it's getting dark...." Aedan said to himself as he continued to rest.

After saying that he went on his way. While he was walking towards home he saw an old man who was being bullied by three people.He quickly rushed to help the old man.

"Hey leave him alone..." Aedan said

He kicked one of the three people till he was knocked out.

"Mind your own business kid!!" one of the two guys said to him and then rushed to him.

Just as he was about to hit Aedan, he got countered and Aedan grabbed his arm broke it and threw him in a pile of trash. The last of the three men was left shocked and Aedan said;

"If you don't wanna get hurt then you back off."

"I'm not scared of you kid!!" said the leader of the three.

He drew his knife and started to attack Aedan. He tried to stab Aedan but he was too slow and in a blink of an eye he got hit by a punch from Aedan and he just fell from the strong impact of the right hand. The adversaries have been taken care of thanks to Aedan and he went to check on the old man.

"Hey, you alright?" he asked the old man.

"I'm alright." said the mysterious old man.

"You have some good moves when you took out those 3 guys." said the old man

"Its in your blood to fight young one." he added.

"It is nothing really." Aedan replied in a cold tone.

"As an expression of gratitude I'll give you this." he showed Aedan the necklace that looks like a sword.

"Thank you sir but I can't take this" Aedan said and he was giving the necklace back to the old man.

"Oh no but I insist you must take it." the old man said to him.

"If it makes you happy then alright I'll take it." he said to the old man and he wore the necklace.

"Thanks for saving me again boy. Hey what's your name?"

"I'm Aedan. How about you?" he asked the old man back.

"I am Enma." the old man replied.
