Chapter 10 - The Start of the Journey

Aedan woke up very early the next day. He ate some food, and prepared himself for the day. After his preparations, he again went to the seashore where Maaya found him and stayed there. While he was staring at the open sea he heard someone calling him.

 

"Aedan." The voice said.

 

It was Glyndwir, the guy he fought. He noticed that Glyndwir had bandages  all over his body and thet he had left a scar on his face. He did not reply to his call.

 

"I'm sorry about what happened, 2 days ago during the ceremony." Glyndwir said to Aedan.

 

Still Aedan did not talk to him.

 

"Are you still mad at me?" He asked Aedan.

 

Glyndwir recieved no reply, but nonetheless he still continued to talk to Aedan.

 

"You fight good you know.....but you still need to learn more...." Glyndwir said.

 

Aedan looked at him and finally he replied coldly and said.;

 

"What do you suggest?"

 

"I'm just saying that I've noticed that when you fight, You are to dependent on the left side of your body." Glyndwir said.

 

"What are you talking about?" Aedan asked him

 

"You  don't have a quick reaction time on your right side....that's all...but the rest is fine..." Glyndwir said.

 

"What do you want me to do about it?" Aedan asked

 

"I know a blademaster, who is good at training students. I think his name is Iraven." Glyndwir said.

 

"And who is he?" Aedan continued to ask.

 

"He is as I said a Blademaster.....He was the one who trained me and Elrond." Glyndwir said.

 

"Elrond.......Maaya's Ex.......They say he is dead now" Aedan said.

 

"It is not confirmed yet, and how do you know that he is the Divine Maiden's Ex?" Glyndwir asked curiously.

 

"Maaya told me....." Aedan asked.

 

"It looks to me that you and the Divine Maiden are getting close to each other." Glyndwir said as he was tapping Aedan's shoulder.

 

"What? Don't be ridiculous." Aedan replied coldly.

 

"Well......she did only love one guy and she already has moved on...." Glyndwir said.

 

"Can we change the subject?" Aedan asked with sarcasm.

 

"Why?" Glyndwir asked.

 

"Because when you say Maaya it makes me think about Maiev....."  Aedan thought to himself.

 

"I wanna know where the blademaster is." Aedan said.

 

"He lives in a place called Alsirune. He is now a blacksmith there." Glyndwir said.

 

"Well I better get going then..." Aedan said.

 

Just as Aedan was about to leave he came across Kaoru and she said.

 

"Going where?"

 

"To Alsirune." Aedan answered.

 

"Well I'm going too." Kaoru said.

 

"Me too." Glyndwir said

 

"And me." Maaya said .

 

"Maaya where did you come from?" Kaoru asked.

 

"I followed you." she replied and she giggled a little.

 

"I'm going alone......All of you will stay here..." Aedan said.

 

"You need company. It's not safe going to Alsirune. It's a 3 day travel." Glyndwir said.

 

"We want to ensure your safety." Kaoru said.

 

Cairn heard the discussion and he went to the four people and said.

 

"Glyndwir is right. You need company to go there."

 

"Fine.....you all can come along, but you need to pack your things now." Aedan said coldly.

 

The 3 of them went to their respective houses and started to pack things for their long journey.

 

"Already done!!!" Maaya and Kaoru said.

 

"Well you guys better headout now. And be careful." Cairn said.

 

"Bye dad." Maaya said to Cairn.

 

"Bye Maaya. I know that Aedan can protect you." Cairn replied.

 

The four of them left Shylark and headed out for Alsirune and then Aedan thought to himself, "This is where my journey begins......"
