ACT 9 - At War Once Again

The messenger hawk was getting closer to Nami-Rei and he noticed that the hawk was holding a red scroll on it's talons. There was only one meaning of that, they are at war once again.

"A red scroll?" Rikia asked. "But I thought that there would be no more wars after the Battle of Sekigahara? I thought that peace would be finally restored?"

"Perhaps we have been wrong." Nami-Rei said.

The two walked on to the council room of the ninja. Their training grounds looked so peaceful with green grass everywhere and trees that almost reach the skies. It seemed that the area glimmered with peace and the thought of war would not come across one who lingered there.

Meanwhile in the ninja council room, a furious Ryaku found out something that would baffle us all.

"WHAT!?" Ryaku asked furiously. "Ieyasu cut us off his troops?"

"He wanted nothing to do with you people anymore. You are now have been "relieved of duty"." Ieyasu's messenger said.

"What about the red scroll? It means that he wants our allegiance right?" Ryaku continued to ask.

"I believe Nami-Rei has been informed already" The messenger replied.

Nami-Rei and Rikia walked into the room and then Nami-Rei said.

"I know already it was written on the red scroll that we have no longer services to the empire." Nami-Rei said. "But the reason is why did he cut us off so fast?" he asked calmly.

"The era of Ninja is over. It is time to live "peacefully" now." The messenger replied.

Nami-Rei knew that he was lying.

"I also read something else in that scroll. It said there that you will declare war on us if we do not follow." Nami-Rei said.

"Precisely, so I suggest you guys wh-" The messenger's sentence was cut off because before he could even finish Nami-Rei stabbed him right where his heart is.

"Then I declare war on Ieyasu." he said

"Master this is not a good idea." Ryaku said

"I knew from the start that he will betray us for you see, he sees me as a threat to his throne. I've told him before that I have no interest in his throne. He refused to believe. This is his way of saying it." Nami-Rei said

"I just can't leave Emperer Ieyasu's side master." Ryaku replied "I tried convincing him that he needs the ninjas."

"He won't listen anymore. All he hears is power. What must be done must be done." Nami-Rei replied.

"WE CAN'T DO THIS MASTER!!!" Ryaku exclaimed "THERE MUST BE SOME OTHER WAY!!" he added.

"Do what you think is right. Go to where your loyalty lies. I've done my responsibility to raise you Ryaku. I just hope that we would meet in this battlefield as allies and no adversaries." Nami-Rei said as Ryaku disappeared from the room.

"Rikia, tell the whole clan to meet in the Shainto river I will make the declarations there." Nami-Rei said 

"What about my brother master?" Rikia asked. He looked concerned about Ryaku's state at the time-being.

"When an eagle sprouts its wings and flies to far away, it gets taken by the storm." Nami-Rei added.

"What do you mean master?" Rikia asked

"Your brother is not one of us anymore.. Now go tell everyone." Nami-Rei said as he sat down and thought of things.
