Chapter 16 - Sefir's Betrayal

Sefir had now returned from Mt. Parga, but when he was about to report to Nerzhul he noticed that someone was sitting on the right hand chair of Nerzhul. It was Riku, who now we know as the "Dark Lightning Revenant".

 

"Nerzhul didn't........" Sefir thought.

 

"Nice of you to come back Sefir.......Have you met my right hand man Riku?" Nerzhul said.

 

"Master I only came here to report that Kavrion has already been captured and now ready to summon." Sefir replied.

 

"Good...good.....Riku can take it from here...." Nerzhul said.

 

Riku now took the the orb containing the dragon and kept it in his cloak. Sefir noticed that he was under the influence of heavy Shadow Mana. He sensed that he almost had the same power level as him.

 

"Riku......Sefir.....you two will now work together to make my dream world a reality.....now go......" Nerzhul commanded them.

 

 They went out of the master's chambers and then went to the courtyard. They distanced themselves from each other and then Sefir began to talk.

 

"You resorted to getting power.....how pathetic..." he said.

 

"Actually... the master was the one who gave me this gift....." Riku replied. "And besides....I think you're scared of me because I am now Nerzhul's right hand man..." he added.

 

"Me scared?" Sefir said as he laughed. "Listen well..you are not in even my league." he said.

 

"And besides....I'm just helping Nerzhul for now..." Sefir once more said.

 

"So it's true then...." said a mysterious voice. It was Karawan the seeker.

 

"YOU HAVE PLANS BEHIND NERZHUL"S BACK!!!!" The Seeker shouted.

 

"You can stay faithful to him as you want. But he has little time left...." Sefir said.

 

"I won't let you harm the master!!!!" Riku said as he attacked Sefir with one of his chain axes.

 

Sefir dodged the attack and he cut the chain with his blade Cerberus.

 

"The Power has gone to your head!!!!" Karawan said.

 

"No Karawan.....for you see......my powers did not come from the master.....I turned myself this way!!" Sefir said as strange markings began appearing on his face.

 

"No.....you have formed your own shadow mana?!" Karawan asked.

 

"It's impossible. Shadow mana comes from the master alone!!" Riku said as the chains on his arms were regenerating.

 

"You people don't understand do you? I have now dicovered that the shadow mana can be conjured by anything evil....because it creates balance on this world!!!" Sefir said.

 

Riku now rushed towards Sefir and he swung hus axe but it was deflected by Cerberus. Riku fell to the ground and Sefir was now closing in on him.

 

"You may be the right hand man but you are no match for me...." Sefir said.

 

Karawan now took off his blindfold and began to attack Sefir but he saw this coming and he dodged it. He now rushed at Karawan and stabbed his face with his 3 edged blade. Karawan fell to the ground. He was wounded badly and now Sefir went to him and he stabbed him and slashed him everywhere until the Seeker was on the verge of death.

 

"You.......betrayed us all......" Karawan said as he died.

 

Sefir remained silent and he noticed that Riku was still moving. Riku got up and tried to attack him again with his axe but again he was put down by Sefir by his blade. He was knocked out cold.

 

Now Sefir made his way to the master's chambers again and he went to where Nerzhul's spirit is.

 

"So....you have now chosen your path...." Nerzhul said.

 

"You had to see this coming.....that I would betray you for more power...." Sefir said.

 

"You have already killed two of my eight dark souls.....now you shall perish.....for your transgressions will lead to your demise...." Nerzhul said as the suit of armor began to move and charged at Sefir.

 

"I told you Nerzhul......I'm now more powerful than you......" Sefir said as he attacked the suit of armor which carried Nerzhul's spirit.

 

The suit of armor fell and now Nerzhul was helpless.

 

"SEFIR....We were going to build the perfect world!!!!" Nerzhul said to him helplessly.

 

"You were...but I have a better plan.....I'm going to end it all.....by the destruction of this world.." Sefir said as he left Nerzhul helpless.

 

The spirit was on the verge of fading but Sefir did not care. He now summoned Soleil and the dragon began destroying the palace until it became ruins. He now rode Soleil and left the ruins which was once a castle.

 

On the otherhand, Riku regained consciousness he went to the fading spirit and said.

 

"Master....he has betrayed us."

 

"Yes...and on top of that he now has the two dragons.....he plans to use them to destroy this world.." Nerzhul said.

 

"Stop him at all costs and get the dragons back....we will need those to build Iveia...." He added.

 

"Yes master..." Riku said.

 

"I will now bind with you to give you the last of my power!!!!" Nerzhul said as he now binded with Riku.

 

"I have three things to do now, get the dragons back, kill Sefir and kill Aedan..." He said.

 

From a distance he saw the remaining Dark Souls of Nerzhul. They now proclaimed him as their new leader and the group has decide to change their name to "The Ruined 7" with Riku as the leader.

 

The six said. "Master...we are forever by your side and we will always be loyal...."

 

Riku was now the true embodiment of Nerzhul. For his spirit and Riku's body have now merged to into one.
