"Elrond.... please come back for me... come back alive to me...."
"I will be back for you.. I promise" "I have waited for so long...." "He's dead" Maaya now woke up with tears rolling down her cheek. She dreamt of the day that she learned that her beloved Elrond had died. After all these years she still hasn't let go of her feelings for him because he was the only person that she had loved the most. She got up and went down to the lobby of the Inn. She looked outside the window and she noticed that it was raining heavily. It reminded her of the time that Elrond left Shylark to fulfill his mission as guardian of Ivalice. "It's been two years now Elrond.." She thought to herself. Glyndwir noticed her looking out the window and cannot help but think that she hasn't gotten over her feelings for Elrond. Hee went near her to see what was wrong. "My lady... did you have that dream again?" He asked "Yes... I know it has been two years since he left this world....but I just can't let him go..." She replied. "It's all right my lady...I wish that you get better soon.." Glyndwir replied. Glyndwir left her alone in the lobby. Maaya now went looking for Aedan. She wanted to talk to him to make herself feel better but he is nowhere to be found. She asked Kaoru where He is and she was told that He is in the attic. She went up to the attic and saw that he was there. She tried to start a conversation. "Hey..." She said. Aedan did not reply. "Aedan..." She said again. "Something's bothering you isn't it?" He said. "It's about the past...eh?" he asked. "It's hasn't bothered me up until now..." She said. "I'm not good at fixing people's problems..." Aedan replied. "It's not that. I just you know...wanted you to hear me out." Maaya replied. "Why not start anew?" Aedan said. "That's what you told me." Maaya then was shocked at what she heard. It was like Aedan was not himself. He told her to move on and not face the past anymore just as he told him the same thing. "You're right...I just have to start over... thanks Aedan." Maaya said as she left Aedan alone in the attic. "Unlike you... I can't start over Maaya... I left Her to die...the person that I have sworn to protect..." Aedan thought to himself. "I'm sorry Maiev... I should've just perished with you..." Aedan said to himself. He sat down on the floor and then fell asleep in the attic. "Don't feel grief for my loss Aedan..." Maiev said. "Maiev... why do you smile...I failed you...I let you die..." Aedan replied "No...you didn't...in fact you actually helped me defend Gaia to the very last... I am proud of you Aedan..." Maiev replied. "Don't be sad anymore...Aedan..." These are the last words of Maiev in Aedan's dream with her.
