Chapter 20 - Lesson One

Chapter 20 - Lesson One

A Chapter by CrossesOfTime

Back at the Inn Iraven finally regained consciousness after two long days of being drunk. He had only figured out now that he passed out for two days because at the beginning before he met Aedan at that Bar, he was already drinking non-stop for one week and it took him two long days to sober up. He noticed a familiar face was in his room with him. It was Glyndwir.

"Iraven, you are awake." Glyndwir said to his master

"I was out for two days huh? Crap I should really stop drinking." Iraven replied.

"I agree, it's bad for you you know." Glyndwir replied.

"Same old Glyndwir, anyway what brings you here? Need your sword to be fixed?" Iraven asked.

"Actually no. I brought a new pupil for you, he has good potential."  Glyndwir asked.

"Awww man. Look pupil, I don't really train that much students anymore. I'm know more of a Fight Buyer." Iraven said.

"Fight Buyer?" Glyndwir asked

"It's a person who takes fights for money. That's how I make money man, but lately I haven't had fights that's why I had trouble in paying my drinking bills." Iraven replied.

"But this person has good potential. He actually beat me." Glyndwir replied.

"WHAT?!!! A pupil of mine losing to a stupid person? Dang it man I gotta get my hands on this guy." Iraven replied as he picked up his fish sword.

"Where can I find him?" Iraven asked Glyndwir

"He's right outside." Glyndwir said

Iraven went outside the inn to look for the man who beat his student. He was surprised that he saw a familiar face. It was the same face that he saw when he was drunk and battered.

"YOU???!!!! You're the guy that beat my pupil? Dang! You don't even look like a fighter" Iraven said.

Aedan saw Iraven and gave him a look of no concern he didn't even reply to him when he said his comments about Aedan.

"You think you're to good for me huh? Giving me that smug look. If you really think you are good then fight me." Iraven said.

Aedan now looked at him and said.

"You sure you still ain't drunk?"

"Witty huh. Well I've encountered your kind one too many times. Besides The only reason that you beat Glyndwir is because you are the Guardian of this world." Iraven said as he pointed to Aedan's necklace.

Aedan was a little shocked when Iraven said that.

"I knew it. Elrond coundn't finish the job well that was to be expected of him. He had too much to learn. What I don't get is that why the responsibility was handed to someone stupid as you." Iraven said as he turned back.

Aedan got pissed at Iraven because of what he said and he began to rush at him with the redeemer. Iraven felt it immediately and in a quick flash he took down Aedan with his sword hilt.

"Pretty quick for a rookie. It's a shame that your right side is always exposed." Iraven said.

"Crap he noticed that already? Looks like he lives up to his name of Blademaster." Aedan thought.

Aedan got up and he was clutching the right side of his abdomen. It hurt real bad but he still tried to maintain his composure. Iraven now showed him his real sword. His real sword was concealed inside the big swordfish like sheath. The Sword was very long and slender but do not be fooled. It can slash through all kinds of solids (even diamonds).

"I call this blade. "La Morte E' Salvacion". In simple terms, the only salvation for you, is death." Iraven said.

Aedan now drew the Redeemer and then he said to Iraven.

"Let's take this someplace else."

"Agreed" Iraven said.

Iraven slashed in thin air and he took Aedan with him to a place that there was no one. A place that they could actually fight to the death. The place was a void in time and space. They are standing on invisible ground but everything else was a void of nothingness.

"This is "Il Luogo Di Nulla". It is a dimension in which I trained to maste the art of the blade. This is also where I train my pupils and hone their potential. Here I can conjure anything if I imagine it. Aedan the purpose on why I brought you here is not to train you but to teach you a lesson that you won't forget."
