Wrong Love

Wrong Love

A Poem by xomilly

I gave to you my heart,
when it was everything I had.
I was young, but old enough to know,
that our love was forbade.

I didn't care,
I was selfish,
I could never let you go.
I was in love,
"You felt the same"
but you would never let it show.

Most girls would have bounced,
after the first sign of trouble,
but I was delusional,
thoughts of our future,
had me feeling double.

and by feeling double,
I mean, my feelings for you multiplied,
leave any other guy,
just to come back to your side.

Things were hard,
and there were times where I felt isolated.
to say our love was complicated,
would be an understatment.

Oh how simple things could have been,
but in this game of love with you?
I could never win.

And though my hopes have died of us being together,
I could never bash you,
Even YOU told me I deserve better.
