Distance

Distance

A Poem by TransparentHearts

Ten miles away in exhausting separation

Less than forty five the hands spin

Ticking away and turning into a station

Oiling up the metal deathtrap trade-in

Fill up and fuel up, working up to get ahead

Fifteen from a buck short- curse the tantrum

Without bloodflow the demon is dead

Donation from within revived as a phantom

Down the path, closing the daring distance

One way and five minutes from the destination

Violent emotion clashed with resistance

Approaching the four way junction

Collision from the crash, speeding around the corner

Stopping and staring at the quaint quaters that was-no, a lie

Salty ocean drops rolled down transforming into the mourner

The house once there vanished into air, space, just sky

Never again study the details of her beautiful face,

Never again feel the touch of her passionate embrace,

Never again watch her sway with elegance and grace,

Fifteen sunsets and the feeling of life turned to erase

Sweetheart come back, wishing upon a shooting star

Baby come back, being worlds away in a land afar

My Love come back, become my world as you are

Fifteen sunrises and the emptyness becomes a scar

The scar a memory beheld on my heart

Forgotten by her love enclosed together

As we meet in heaven of our eternity at the start

Illuminating freedom the weight of a feather

Never again to be cast apart into the rain

Embracing one eternity and five worlds

Cleansing off the reddening stains

Watching the past and present unfurled

Ten miles apart with nothing to lose

Less than forty five from sixty with everything to gain

Hanging on to her love praying for rescue

Down that journey so we remain

Awe, that's is sooo speechless reading!!! I Love You so much and I just wanted to tell you that (forgot to capitalize illuminating in the 7th stanza?) I shall haunt you in your days that you shall not be at my side, but be at my side
