A poem I wrote when I first met my future wife.

Soul Mates

Tis you I see with the beauty of a dove:

As we begin on this journey of love.

 

There is one thing I must confess:

I live and long for your caress.

 

My love for you grows deep and strong:

And makes my day when things go wrong.

 

Life is filled with hopes and pleasures:

That we will share and we will treasure.

 

To love, honor, cherish, and obey:

Are not just words we have to say.

 

We will take the good with the bad:

And comfort each other when we're sad.

 

On our day of wedded bliss:

We'll pledge our love with just one kiss.

 

And from that special moment in time:

My life’s complete knowing your mine.
