pink dream

pink dream

A Poem by seth bauman
"

the road to transition.

"

pink dream

a girl walks down the street, a street

blanketed with black, and yellow light.

a girl walks, around a man with words but words that words can only describe.

hope for her safe passage, hope for him uncertain but certain spreading unease.

freezing; blue hair matches white frost matches pink dream.

a girl walks down the street, not ready to cross to the other side.

Author's Note

seth bauman
pink dream is a reference to an old Chinese movie about the modern girl, and represents the protagonist's dream to match her appearance to her gender identity.

I love the imagery, the concept, and the angst/unease of the protagonist that you can feel throughout the piece. Well done!
