Different

Different

A Poem by Maraina Cross

I’m sorry I’m different

I’m sorry that I need help from time to time

I’m sorry that my legs don’t work or my hands don’t do what I want them to do

But what I’m most sorry about

Is you

I’m sorry you can’t see pass a person’s physical appearance

I’m sorry you will never give some of the best people a chance

I’m sorry you can’t see the beauty inside of people

I’m so sorry if I in convince you in any way

Because I’m just trying to live

Well done. Poetry is a window into a writers soul. You are by no mean a bother to anyone. God had a plan when he made all of us, as he does for you. Think about how many lives you are touching with each poem you write!

Very heartfelt. I wouldn't apologize for what some may perceive defects. Some of us have our imperfections of the soul when we kind offer love or kindness to a fellow being. Christ gave us trials so we can learn and progress. Those of us with more or harder trials will learn more faster gaining maturing spirits.
