Firmitate

Firmitate

A Poem by Justice Smith

Firmitate

In times of pain,

there lies a shroud

which cloaks progress

in an electric cloud.

In these times,

not one can say

the motives of fate;

for it does what it may.

There will come a time

where one must decide

to change direction,

or venture inside.

Many shall attempt

to conquer this power.

Save when courage is called,

many shall cower.

For on this journey,

courage they did lose.

Fear made them forget

the purpose they did choose.

Hold courage in fear.

For a purpose you must fight,

lest you lose yourself

in the electric night.

In your journey,

my dearest friend,

loose not your grip,

for success is at the end.
