MINE

This poem is for all those people who had a childhood crush and wanted to spend their whole life with each other.

It started when you were in your little skirt 

and I was in my long trousers 
Staring at each other made me feel good 

but sometimes bit bother

May be I didn't know how to respond to those ticklish moments
Your angry little face and innocent smile
Skipped my heartbeat
Every alternate second

Was it love or just an infatuation
Was the major confusion
But these sleepless nights confirmed the actual fact
That though we met after so many years, we are still intact

Nothing to blame to time
As its our fate that has recombined
I still have hope in my mind
That you are MINE

I wish we could share life together,
to build special plans just for two,
to work side by side,
and then smile with pride,
as one by one, dreams all come true.

I want to have someone special,
one on whom I can always depend
to be there through the years,
sharing laughter and tears,
as a partner, a lover and  a friend.

We are separated by miles.
But united by chats
We can see each hour of a day
As I don't want to say bye 

I pass the time by counting down
to the next moment I see you
You are teaching me to become more patient
I want to be more than just a special friend

I don't know what we are doing
Whether it is bad or fine
The only constant thing which is running in my mind
Is to make you MINE...
