Yen

Yen

A Poem by Nan
"

Based on a painting my Gina Boyce called Yen.

"

clarity of mind and

lackluster control

no excitement as the Buddha

grants us peace- the gift

by which we live

even the paths of our lives

show mystery as a key

and our foot prints will

disappear from the earth

as this moment contains All

we have and ever need to be

joy is a feeling deep in

the soul and the warrior intent

that feeds our families

spans generations of love

and more than this?

we shop when we get the yen!

oh sweetie Nan, this is soo beautiful. "and our foot prints will

disappear from the earth

as this moment contains All

we have and ever need to be" --------for yes, we are in everything around us. we are in each smallest thing complete there and we always have been and this can't change, I wrote an essay about the universe of Russian dolls. That's exactly about this. "how mystery as a key" ------mystery is this earth in its tiny small details, sad when people don't see it. I totally adore your words. Yen: Your yearning for understanding the view or to change the way of seeing was amazing. love you always.
