Lover of the Light

Lover of the Light

A Poem by alltheloveabove

It's in the imitations of the night that I hear
Calls from my heaving hollow cast,
there from which I can surface and stare
 straight into the numbing blind;
Make out the muffled shadows    myself
and allow my mind to linger and rest on the course of
 your flickering face.
Oh, the perils of haunting fixations.
It's in closeted self hatred and remembrances at these
mocking heights that render
me helpless and
I,
missing, your sanguine eyes.
I want to pierce the silent veil,
draw you closer into the shadows, a crowned seat in the silence where together we can
Gaze upon the starless infinities and try make something beautiful from within ourselves...
Wait!
Please wait for me while I collect my s cat
ter e d thoughts-
Wait!
Please make me not one of the numbers but as the brightest in the dying constellation
"Wait."
Please believe me when I say it's the closest I've gotten and the quickest I've shied
WAIT!
Please remember me when you close this chapter of us and
wait--

Please.

Please tell me you'll give it a try.
