Not Knowing

Not Knowing

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Not Knowing

Not knowing when the dawn will ever come

In the windows of my soul

My heart is ever blind

Dawn evades my grasp

As twilight erodes into night

Not a flicker can been seen

Long past the midnight hour

My eyes search the night

For a glimmer of hope

Praying for the breaking dawn

Than never seems to come

And just when hope is gone

Morning breaks the dawn

Very beautiful!
"And just when hope is gone' Morning breaks the dawn" ~ Lovely ending!

It seems as human beings we all feel this darkness and search with hope in our hearts that
dawn will bring with it new life, new beginnings and indeed how wonderful
it is that we can grasp that hope once more, with new each day that dawns.

Another beautiful submission to Sharon's Keeping the Dream Alive, thank you! ~ Helena

Oh, how I can relate to your use of the phrase, Nancy! We must never give up our grasp of hope in the new morn. Thank you very much for sharing this lovely poem in the Dream challenge. Sharon
