Poetry Exercise #1, Take 1

Poetry Exercise #1, Take 1

A Poem by Naomi Bloom
"

A poem modeled after William Carlos Williams' poem The Red Wheelbarrow.

"

so much depends upon

light

warming the skin,

bones,

guiding our steps,

our eyes,

growing plants, grains,

cells

Author's Note

Naomi Bloom
An exercise I attempted in poetry class.

We wrote poems modeled after William Carlos Williams' poem The Red Wheelbarrow:

so much depends
upon

a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens.

This is the first of my many attempts to imitate this form.
