lies

lies

A Poem by Nastia

Beneath the stary sky i lie. To myself and to it. Willing it to trust what i say. To believe what i mean. So i lie, to its beauty i lie. For it to take me away. To take me into the beautiful scene that it is so i can forget my sin. I lie. To its forceful sincerity, i lie. Willing myself to believe what i say and get away for just today. I blow a cloud of smoke to the sky, filled with my filthy lies. Beging. Yes, begging and pleading for it to take me away. Oh what a night it is. What a beautiful night. How sad it is that i fill it with lies. This night i wish to never end, the sky not to turn to its magestic blue and take away my hope. My hope to believe the lies i spread. To trust that they are what is real. So i lie, willing it all to be true.
