The New Game

The New Game

A Poem by natalia burr
"

I just think that the title says everything, I hope you enjoy it.

"
Why do you keep playing games, no one knows yet?
Why do I keep falling for you all over again?
Why do we built up walls no one can climb?

It’ll be easier for you this way, you would not get hurt.
It’ll be easier for me this way, I would not fall apart.
It’ll be easier for us this way, we both can start to fly.

So why do you keep blowing up on my phone?
I’m getting tired of picking up.
Why do you keep giving my hopes up?
I’m getting broken hearted and this is getting old.

Let’s play a new game, you don’t know this one yet
You stop reaching me out and I would stop falling out
You stop sending me signs and I would stop thinking about you every time.

This is the last note that I’m sending to you,
You would not know anything about me, anymore
Those were the rules of the game
So let’s start to play.

Just shopping around for other people living in Monterrey :-) Nice poem, intrigued by what the new game might be. I would have liked stronger ending.
