Secret Place

Secret Place

A Poem by Natalia
"

Find out for yourself what this poem is about.

"
The moon's light beckoning me to come near.
It's reflection on the lake is crystal clear.
The tall pink-blue trees, swaying softly in the breeze,
The singing of the twilight creatures puts me at ease.

I lie down in the soft green grass,
I gaze at the lake once more, the surface smooth as glass.
A tiny fairy, no bigger than my forefinger,
Flutters by to a crowd of fireflies who linger.

After playing with some dwarfs, I get up, finally ready to leave.
But before I'm gone I turn back. It's always been my pet peeve.
My mind full of sadness, not wanting to go.
I finally turn away, ready to go away. But slow.
