Being with her brings me joy.

I never understood this feeling.

I looked into her eyes.

What to say?

My tongue won’t move.

She spoke.

“Do you love me as you loved her?”

I was surprised.

I’m at a loss.

I paused, perhaps longer than I should have.
I looked down and I replied.

Fallen

I was among an angel.

He stood behind me,

And whispered in my right ear.

I was blinded by his beauty and words.

I did as he wished yet didn’t notice the voice coming from my left.

I listened to the temptations.

Afterwards, all I felt was guilt.
