I'm A Big, Big Girl
By Nattalie Gordon Back when I was younger, when I was really small I thought adulthood was awesome, I thought I'd have it all But now at the end of my 20s it's so far from the truth I had no idea what was a'coming When I hit eighteen and waved good-bye to my youth. Life still ain't awesome yet Still waitin' for that call I work enough to get to work Then the taxman takes it all. I grew up a little and learned alot about how the system works If I didn't know better I'd think God told the devil to hit me where it hurts. When I was a little girl I thought I'd live the easy way But life ain't all that easy, especially when you're gay. The Taylor Swift of lesbians I swear I've got no game Getting a lover is effortless Keeping her, not quite the same. When I was a little girl Barefoot with a head full of dreams No-one told me life's a b***h Or that she'd wanna keep me down by any means. Now I'm a big, big girl I've known depression, pain and hurt But I still refuse to quit Though I'm sure it's all worth it. Life still ain't awesome yet But I sure would like it to be You see I'm a big, big girl So I gotta take care of me. P.S. I love Taylor Swift. © 2015 Nattalie GordonAuthor's Note
