I saw you today with her
She laughed and you blushed
My friend looked at me and my heart fell
He reached for my hand but I got up and left
You stared at her with such adoration but she didn't notice
I was furious and he was heartbroken

I have no right to feel angry
I don't own you
I shouldn't expect you to call
You don't owe me
But just because I shouldn't
Doesn't mean I don't

I know I should give him a chance
But I'll get his hopes up and send them crashing down
He doesn't deserve that
You will chase her but she will never know
