Here's to a Cup of Tea; bitter as it may be

Here's to a Cup of Tea; bitter as it may be

A Poem by Norie C

Treading pins and needles,

Curiosity takes hold,

Its all for the thrill and the thrill is bold,

Oops, here's to falling into  predictable scenes,

More predictable than a rocking chair before it leans,

But what does prediction really mean anyway if you know not how to get there?

Thus, wide eyes take in the glory of all the shining treasures,

There may be barriers, but there are limitless measures,

Finding the wrong one is of no loss,

It's knowledge nonetheless,

And furthermore,

The day shall come when the answer arises,

When the air is to be filled with warmth and surprises,

And all of you who ever may have doubted,

May you stand in the dust as this horse is mounted,

May you watch the face of danger look back and smugly smile,

No words are necessary,

Images last for more than a while,

Vindication,

Justification,

Integrity,

They all ooze and leave a path for the world to see, to follow,

Let it be known that there is a brand new map for a better tomorrow,

So let these teeth bite down on broken glass,

Laughing all the while as bleeding gums mold into an odd but never before seen expression,

And here it comes, the resulting lesson;

That sure was one way to leave a lasting impression.
