Imperfection

Imperfection

A Poem by Nicole Ebert

All she wanted was to be accepted,

She wanted to fit in,

To be normal,

But she was lost in a world full of magazines.

Everyone has to be perfect,

Needs to look like everyone else,

The blonde hair, flawless skin, bright blue eyes.

When she looks in the mirror,

All she can see is

Ugly brown eyes,

Frizzy hair,

Pale pimply skin.

A small child-like body

She sees imperfection.
