God is All Incarnate

God is All Incarnate

A Poem by Jarett Anderson

God is the word

We only perceive the sound of it

God is the road

We only walk her ‘round a bit

God is the force

We only live what’s bound to it

God is the rhythm

We only dream our way out of pitch

God is the universe

We only grasp the ground of it

God is the love

We only reach with arms stretched

God is All incarnate

We only sense what has been started

God is the heart

We only strive to rise and spark it

God is the mind

We only change its topic

God is the body

We only operate a harness

God is the light

We only pass into the darkness

God is the undivided

We only see a part the stars lit

God is All incarnate

We only sense what has been started
