Dear Neeley

Dear Neeley

A Poem by Hogwarts
"

This is basically a letter to my younger self.

"

Listen closely child

To what I have to say

There is indeed still hope for you

Though it may not seem that way.

Don’t believe all that you’re told

For most of it is lies

You are not the least bit ugly

But they are hideous inside.

Hear me out, little girl

For I have lived this through

Don’t punish your own self

For the things that they may do.

For all of your struggles

I feel such deep sorrow

You don’t deserve those rainy days

But it is bright tomorrow.

So hold on a while longer

And sing a cheery tune

Make it louder every day

Be the light in this dark room.

Author's Note

Hogwarts
I wrote this in about 7 minutes so it's not as smooth as it could be, but I didn't feel like editing it at the moment.

It reads as if it was written as fast as you could think it and there is nothing at all wrong with that, the 'rawness' works. I often do the same. Sometimes I go back and polish up and sometimes it even works. Only the writer can choose
