Watch and Wait

Watch and Wait

A Poem by Mika Haruna

They watch and wait.

When you sleep

when you eat

they are

there

The patient me watches.

Contempt in her eyes

contempt for the

dead and for

the living

hate for

all

None can pass their gaze.

they wait and watch

one mistake can

mean cartain

death

The patient me hates.

she hates me and

she hates you

all of us

watch

and

wait
