Like Onions

My layers like an onion
Have left you undone
You try to penetrate and peel away
But another layer is in the way
Sprouting little white hairs
I know you just want to clear the air
My beating heart is at the core
But I can't do this anymore
I have feelings too
But I don't know what to do
I'm mean and I'm trouble
I'm just like this stinking vegetable
Within is a beautiful person
Tender and hurting
You see right through my endless sheild
But do you have the harness to yeild
The hidden truth under my walls
If I stumble are you here to catch my falls?
