Another weird day

Another weird day

A Poem by newyearnorma

I find myself in a weird place in life once again
A love I once thought gone has returned

Old and familiar like my favorite pair of jeans,
All worn in and comfy

But also new and unfamiliar
Vaguely bringing me the feeling of being on a alien world

Everything mix up and confused
Joy and heartache both passengers in my head

I hear all the good advice
Go slow, don't give to much of yourself away
But how do you do that with someone you all ready love?

I sit here alone now, feeling hurt but wondering if I have any right to feel this way
Left alone, after hoping all day I would get a chance to see you

I spent the day, dreaming about what a future with you would be like
And now I'm left wondering if tonight is a sign that maybe I don't mean much to you

I wish you would show me a sign
Something to prove to me that you are serious about me

Good poem

Do butterflies return? -
lightning strike twice? -
empty streets echo
with familiar
advice?

Do window panes cry
each morning's due?
Will the emptiness inside
ever leave you?

So soft are the eyes
- so lost and alone,
as they gaze through the glass
wishing for ...home.
