Hospital Nonet

a Nonet is a form of poetry with 9 syllables at the start and finishing with 1 in the final, silly i know, but fun on occassion

 

The stained glass Jesus with a chipped beard

that hangs over a prayer book

in the hospital chapel

is no comfort for me.

These final tears are

the hardest to

cry  as my

mother

dies.
