I miss you even when you're here.

I miss you even when you're here.

A Poem by .nicole.

Even when you're here, I miss you.

I miss the touch of your lips to mine.

The electric current that is sparked just from that moment.

The way my heart skips a beat.

And my head spins after that perfect kiss.

I miss your arms wrapped around my body.

Making all the saddness float away on clouds.

Your hands holding me close but always wanting to be closer.

Holding me tighter and tighter untill we feel almost close enough.

I miss your hand in mine.

Fingers lacing through mine.

That perfectly tight squeeze,

The way you rub your thumb over mine.

Even when you're here, I miss you.

I love this poem and understand it perfectly. Even when you are with the one you love, you aren't touching them, kissing them every minute because you have to do other things. So you "miss" them, being able to touch them, kiss them, even when they are "around".

I'm a little bit confused by this poem. Why do you miss him when he's there? Is it because you used to have a connection and you don't now? If so, the entire thing (aside from the first and last lines) should be in the past tense if you want to make more sense. Other than that, I think I know how you feel.
