Destruction of Demons

I wrote this poem about my past with self harm and narcotics abuse.

The ground shook beneath her feet,
Rendering the land obsolete,
She raised her blade,
As stones were cast,
And the blow she dealt,
Was unsurpassed.


She deviated from her chosen path,
And tried to calm her flaming wrath,
And so, she wandered day and night,
And took advantage of the emerging light.


A fire was then lit within her,
And she was not concerned with her aforementioned murder,
Because she had destroyed the demons that once destroyed her.
