you are me

you are me

A Poem by nikki sicki

Somewhere when my heart ends and the world begins
I find you
When peace is a bloody dove
Kept in a shoe-box
That held your baby clothes
I find you
I find you
making me uncomfortable in my own skin
And nesting in my self-doubt
I've kept you from dreams you've always wanted
But never could you spindle them in
Goldthread
Goldthread
Is what you hang by
You make me feel like a paraplegic with only floaties on my arms
In an ocean Close to the end
Shouting out insults as you drown
You're just a kid
You pass up nourishment
Pass up moments
Pass up love
Like passing up mash potato's at thanksgiving
You either put your self first or last There is no in-between
I am running from you
And who you want
To Be
The earth's arms are not big enough to
Hold You
Want to burry you in the dirt
Where you are natural and Unhurt
You are trying
You are trying
Trying to do the right thing
Things
that were right are dying to go wrong
And Time
Time makes people change
And
Time lets people break Themselves
Down
Your words are harsh
Your face is a watercolor painting after a good Cry
Lemon peel lungs
Bright and yellow
But sour and blind at the same time
You breathe in the fate Of 3rd world nations
Somewhere when the world ends and my heart begins I find you.
You are guiding
You are leaving
You are my worst enemy
You Are me.
