Love at first sight happens only to them,

When they see their newborn;more precious then any gem!!!

Waves of purest form of love strike their heart,

We becoming their life’s substantial part.

Their metamorphosis as parents commence,

Changes in setting priorities are immense!!!

Around us their entire world now revolves,

Doubts regarding what matters most dissolves..

They who slept even putting important tasks to cease,

Spend sleepless nights to ensure that we sleep in peace!!

Their empty stomach growls many a time,

But consider feeding us their duty prime…

They teach us to walk,speak,write & read,

Patiently weaving a beautiful necklace with these beads….

They who missed some goals due to lack of labour,

Work harder & harder sothat we taste life’s all flavour..

Wear old give us brand new clothes,

For us try to do things they loathe…

How meticulously animals save for winters,

So do they ;their contribution going unnoticeable as mere splinters!!

They never have money to meet some of their needs,

But when we demand they fulfill even our greeds…

When we grow up ,they stand by us through thick & thin,

Care for us even when they have wrinkles in their skin!!!

We fall,they bleed;

From darkness to light they do lead…

We cry ,their eyes are sore;

To bring back our smiles ,they try from their heart’s core…

So wake up,dont be blind;

They are “blessings not in disguise”to mankind..
