Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror

A Poem by Static C

Mirror mirror on the wall!

Musing about symmetry!

Chase truths reflection screaming!

You think you know me!

You know everything!

Knowing nothing!

I think you insane!

Breath!

I am not a mirror reflecting you!

Stop copying me!

Now whisper...

Flee the mirror...

Chasing your reflection...

Ponder your next thoughts...

Directed at the mirror...

I can hear you laughing at me...

But I'll say one thing...

Know thine enemy...

Know thyself...

I know exactly what I'll say...

Don't want to scream at the wall...

Find a mirror...

Scream!!

You think you know me!

You know everything!

Knowing nothing!

I think you insane!

Breath!

I am not a mirror reflecting you!

Stop copying me!

Flee!!

Whisper...

 You shouldn't laugh at me...

I have sharp pencil...

And a burning cigarrette...

My precious...

You don't even know me...

Nobody...

The mutant beast...

Stalking shadows on the wall...

I killed my evil twin...

What's that say about me?

Stop laughing at me!

You think you know me!

You know everything!

Knowing nothing!

I think you insane!

Breath!

I am not a mirror reflecting you

Stop copying me!

!

To truly know thyself is to truly know thine enemy, for within the mind lies the truth we think we know,
yet our feet carry us to places we should never go all the while running from the reality we refuse to see.

am I me?

or just another part of you!

my delimma and your demise,
this wickedness that cast a shadow over my eyes,
for tho we see thru a mirror darkly,
but then face to face,
what shall I say?

father please forgive them for they know not what they do?

yet the man in the mirror sceams defiantly that we do!

ponder the riddles of the ages while talking to the man in the mirror and soon you will find you have lost your mind and it only goes in stages.

thoughts to consider while smashing your mirror. :)

great job!

Facing the mirror is always something that can be a daunting task - you have certainly expressed this well here. I can see this piece screamed out at an audience. Very powerful words. Thank you.
