alone

I run in the valley of my mind
I fly among the stars above me tonight


A thousand dreams
For every star I look to reach
Yet all I find is air
The everything I reach for
The nothing I grab
The taste of lips I seek

How can such a feel elude the man
A touch by mind
A taste satisfied by no hand


The smell of nothing fills my room
My vision of jasmine in the summer kissed by its moon
The kiss under heat of rain
Eyes of stars
My soul looking through the glass of its own window-pain


A lonely echo sings with the wind and tree
All I want is you,
Yet all I have is me
