You said, 

"You're kind of miraculous." 

and I wanted to carve those words into my skin

because you barely knew me then but you always laughed at my jokes

You said, 

"I want you around always."

and this made my heart hurt

because I shut down completely when I met your friends and I felt so pathetic because I thought I was getting better 

You said, 

"I've never met anyone like you."

and I started crying

because most of my teachers have forgotten my name and it terrifies me how worthless I sometimes feel
